Reading for Pleasure Tic Tac Toe

Here are a few things you could do alongside your current book. See if you can complete a row of three (vertical, horizontal or diagonal).

Create a quiz to go alongside your text. Ask your family or friends to join in and see who wins!

 

Imagine the book has won an award! Create a poster stating what award it has won and why!

 

Be a journalist interviewing one of the characters. Is there anything you want to ask them? Write it up in a magazine article.

 

Create a Tweet or letter to send to the author. Let them know what you loved about their book!

 

Turn all (or part of) the text into a comic.

Make a word search that somebody else could complete before, after or during the text. Don’t give away too many spoilers!

 

Re-read your favourite part or chapter. Can you create a piece of Art to go alongside this?

 

Read your favourite part to somebody else. Practise how you will use your voice to make it even more enjoyable.

 

Research the author further. Have they got any other books you might like to read? Were they inspired by any other authors?
